Inktober 2021
Hi there ! After one year being very busy with commissions and day job, I'm finally back to a more comfortable schedule. My left hand recovered quite well (got injuried in March) and after a few weeks without drawing, I'm feeling now pleasantly inspired and eager to paint ! So I was very happy to pick some indian ink and start the month with the Inktober challenge. I chose to not follow any prompt, no pressure, I only paint what I feel like on the moment. Here are the pictures I've done so far - forest animals, birds and Edvard Munch studies -, I will complete as I'm progressing in the challenge. I used indian ink on 15*20cm paper - excepted some ACEO at the end. Let me know if you are taking part to Inktober this year ! (: "Måneskinn" and "Sommernatt. Stemmen" - studies after Edvard Munch ... to be continued
Scattered news
Hallo there! I haven't posted anything for ages but it doesn't mean I stopped all activity(: I'm just extremely busy with a big commissioned project (and other regular commissions) which, added to my day-job at the library, leaves me very few time for anything else. I miss a bit working on personal illustrations, or collabs with friends. Then lately I have felt quite frustrated so I bought a ton of art supply, including a half-dozen of sketchbooks I would like to fill with doodles, mixed-media, pastel trials, but I don't dare much until now, so I feel even more frustrated :D Who else here is dealing with/struggling between day-job and art? What are your tips? Even if things are going slightly better on my side - it seems Spring brings me some new energy and inspiration - I would like to hear about your thoughts(: Anyway, here is a painting from late 2020 I forgot to show. Let's call her "The Amazone Queen". I was inspired by a canvas called "Algerian Hunter" by french painter
